The Chakras are concentrated energy centers in the body. The body is actually an energetic system that is the "matrix" for the physical body to manifest into. The Chakras are spinning wheels of light/energy. When one or some of these becomes blocked, as a result, the entire system can suffer an imbalance. There are many activities that can help to restore balance to the chakras such as Yoga and Tai Chi/ Qigong, as well as energy work.
The Chakras Consist of:
1st Chakra- The root chakra is located at the base of the spine. It is associated with the Earth.
The message of this Chakra: I AM. It is associated with safety and security. It may present imbalances such as scattered energy, anxiety, and fear.
2nd Chakra - The sacral chakra is located inm the lower abdomen. It is associated with sensuality, sexuality, and desire for pleasure. imbalances presented may include withheld intimacy, sexual dysfunction, emotional isolation.
The 3rd Chakra- The Solar plexus is located below the chest. It is associated with pleasure, willpower, self esteem. Imbalances may present as misuse of powers, a tendency to manipulate, and lower self esteem.
The 4th Chakra- The Heart Chakra is located in the center of the chest. it is associated with the love of others as well as thyself, imbalances include depression, lack of self discipline,
The 5th Chakra- The throat Chakra is located at the center of the neck. It is associated with clear and effective communication, speaking your mind. Imbalances present as an increase in anxiety, being shy, and arrogant behaviors.
the 6th chakra- the third eye chakra is located in the center of the forehead. driven by intuition and foresight, it shows imbalance in a lack of clarity.
this chakra is driven by dreams and intuition.
the 7th chakra- The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head. it is associated with higher consciousness. imbalances present as acting cynical, disconnecting from spirit and what is sacred, and exhibiting closed mindedness.
